Since 2016, Opuntia Visual has been committed to breaking down barriers of accessibility to complex concepts by presenting them in approachable and engaging ways. What began as a blog and series of infographics, has been expanded into producing zines and small publications, making science and culture more tangible and relatable to diverse audiences.

We envision a world where the boundaries between science, culture, and art are blurred, and where interdisciplinary exploration leads to new insights and discoveries. Through our creative endeavors, we strive to bridge these seemingly disparate realms, weaving together threads of scientific inquiry, cultural expression, and artistic interpretation.

Founded by Annabel Romero, a woman of Latin American heritage, she brings a unique perspective to Opuntia Visual, drawing inspiration from her cultural roots and personal experiences. She is dedicated to amplifying underrepresented voices and uncovering untold stories within science and culture.

En Opuntia Visual creemos que el conocimiento debe ser inclusivo y accesible para todos. Como artista independiente y pequeña editorial, nuestra misión es cerrar la brecha entre ciencia, cultura y arte.
